The New York Times – A Pillar of Innovation
What’s the best way to distribute news over the internet? If you answered “design a webpage like a newspaper,” you’re an asshole. Don’t worry. You’re not alone. This is also how the New York Times answered. Amidst a collapsing industry, the NYT created a webpage that simulates a newspaper’s front page, which reminds people they are reading something that they actively avoid reading. Although, this is an appropriate strategy for a company that rents the building they sold. Sort of sounds like the embodiment of a song, don’t ya think?
